CCTV-America (Washington, DC, August 5, 2014) — In Washington for the US-Africa Leaders Summit, Morocco’s Minister Delegate for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mbarka Bouaida, was interviewed today by CCTV-America’s Jessica Stone. Ms. Bouaida spoke about her hopes for the Summit and how Morocco can serve as a model for other countries in the region in the fight against terrorism.
The Moroccan Minister Delegate said her nation has had success taking a multi-dimensional approach to the fight against violent extremism – addressing it from a socioeconomic and cultural as well as security perspective.
But Minister Delegate Bouaida said it is critical that the nations of the region work together to effectively fight the spread of terrorists and reduce the threat of terrorism on the continent, which she emphasized crosses national borders and is bigger that any one country can handle by itself.
